Will the treatment hurt?

The chiropractic and osteomyology adjustments themselves are generally pain free, but if you are already in pain, you may feel a little discomfort during treatment. Here at our Chiropractic Clinic there are many different techniques that we can use to keep your pain to a minimum so just ask your Chiropractor!

How many treatments will I need?

It’s impossible to give an exact number because everyone is different. The number of sessions depends on several factors, including your age, how long you’ve had the condition, how closely you follow our recommendations, lifestyle factors like smoking, and your body’s natural healing rate. We’ll work with you to create a personalised plan and adjust it as you progress.

Will I have to pay for treatment?

Chiropractic and osteomyology care are not usually covered by the NHS, but it’s always worth checking with your GP.

We ask patients to pay at each visit, though many choose to pay for multiple sessions in advance to save time. Payments can be made by cash or card.

Good news: Most health insurance plans do cover chiropractic treatment, so it’s worth checking your policy if you have private health cover.

Can I claim for my treatment on my insurance policy?

Our Scunthorpe chiropractors are fully registered and we provide you with the paperwork they will need in order to process your claim. However, everyone’s policy is different and so you’d need to check with your insurance company to confirm what you can claim for. Osteomyology and DISC IDD Therapy are typically not covered by the NHS or most insurance plans at this time. We’ll always provide full information on costs upfront so you can make an informed choice about your care.
